Dee Bank is situated in the heart of Carrog village. Llangollen is the largest local town and has access to many activities and sightseeing. There are mountains, white water rivers including the spectacular RiverDee, waterfalls and canals with horse-drawn boats. There is a steam train, the Llangollen Railway, that runs trains for 7? miles along the banks of the River Dee from Carrog to Llangollen through some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK, including the horseshoe pass and falls. It operates on most weekends throughout the year, and on weekdays between June and October

The pub, the Grouse Inn (01490 430272), in Carrog has bar meals available. Llangollen has a range of cafes, restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars.

Walks
There are many walks to suit all abilities in the local area. The Clwydian Way passes through the village. It is a 122 mile circular long distance footpath, created to celebrate the Millennium, it passes through some of North Wales finest countryside.
